The Process

Process of Fitting Synthetic Teak

All our synthetic decks are custom made for the individual vessel. The first step to creating your deck is to create the templates of all the areas to be covered.

Once the template stage is complete, we will discuss the style and the colours you wish to use.

Synthetic teak is available in a wide range of colours from newly laid to weathered and similarly the caulking lines are available in a variety of colours. The deck can be styled to match the style of the vessel from traditional classic to modern minimalist.

We take the templates back to our workshop where we will construct the deck. The time taken to do this will depend on the size and complexity.

Once the deck is built we will return to the vessel for fitment. If the vessel already has an original teak deck or a synthetic deck fitted, this must be removed first and any holes filled.

Deck fittings that can be removed should be removed at this stage, to ensure the best seamless finish and the deck thoroughly cleaned. The deck is then bonded to the vessel. This part of the process is weather dependent if the vessel is outside.
